Method of Analysis for PVC Film

Description

A clear, non-toxic food grade, plain/color PVC film

Dimension

Limit: ± 2 mm of the specified Width of the film

Grammage

Take a piece of PVC film and cut a perfect square piece of 5 x 5 cm or based on the specimen and weigh. Calculate the GSM

Limit: ± 8% of the specified grammage.

Thickness of PVC Film

Take a piece of PVC film and cut a perfectly square piece of 5 x 5 cm in size based on the specimen and weight. Calculate the thickness of the PVC film using the formula.

Calculation:

NOTE: 1.41 is the density of the PVC

Limit: ± 8% of the specified thickness of the PVC

Pin Holes

No pinholes should be present

Cleanliness Check

Check the cleanliness of the PVC film. The test passes if the films are free from dirty, mutilated, torn, or stained and pinholes.
