Method of Analysis for White Polythene Bags (815 x 1015mm)

SPECIFICATIONS
Description: One-end open transparent LDPE bag.
Width: 815 mm ± 10 mm [805 mm - 825 mm]
Height: 1015 mm ± 10 mm (1005 mm - 1025 mm)
Weight: 0.12 kg ± 0.01 kg [0.11 kg - 0.13 kg]
GSM: 100 g/㎡ ± 10 g/㎡ [90 g/m2㎡ - 110 g/㎡]

METHOD OF ANALYSIS

Description: 
One-end open transparent LDPE bag.

Dimension: 
  • Instrument Required: Measuring scale
  • Width: Take the measuring scale and measure the width, it should be 815 mm ± 10 mm (805 mm - 825 mm)
  • Height: Place the LDPE bag on the plane surface & measure height, it should be 1015 mm ± 10 mm (1005 mm - 1025 mm)


Weight:
Take at least 10 empty bags and check their weight individually on the calibrated balance. Finally, calculate the average weight of the bags as follows.

Calculation: if n1 is the weight of the first LDPE bags in kg, n2 is the weight of the second LDPE bag in kg and so on, then


It should be 0.12 k ± 0.01 kg [0.11 k - 0.13 kg]

GSM: 
Instrument Required: Cutter, Measuring scale, Analytical weighing balance
Cut the LDPE bag of size 0.1 m x 0.1 m [ 10c㎡ ] [ length x breadth ]
Take the weight of the cut piece on an analytical weighing balance.

Calculate the GSM value as follows:


Limit: 100 g/ ± 10 g/ (90 g/- 110 g/㎡)
