Thickness of Aluminium in Blister Foil
Rub the piece of aluminium blister foil already taken for grammage to acetone-soaked cotton bud to remove VMCH (Vinyl methyl chloro hexane) coating, After removing the VMCH coat weigh the piece ie W2 gm
Determine the thickness of the aluminium using the formula.
Calculation:
NOTE: 2.71 is the density of aluminium
Limit: ± 0.005 mm of the specified thickness
Pin Holes
No pinholes should be present
Cleanliness Check
Check the cleanliness of printed aluminium blister foil. The test passes if the foils are free from dirty, mutilated, torn or stained, improper printing and pin holes.
